Katya Taylor’s practice uses photography as a documentary tool to deepen her understanding of the world that we live in, here she transforms that lens to fit the brief for an exhibition that she was chosen to produce work for.

Within this project she worked closely with two local female tattoo artists, taking time to understand their workflows, and discussing the passion that inspired them to pursue tattooing as a career. The tattoo industry is changing, with the rise of social media bringing more and more opportunities for new artists to share their unique interests and styles, allowing them to develop communities between clients that share their passions.
